This week, after the appearance of dozens of spectacular announcements, painting fences and banners with the legend “#EsClaudia” in various cities of the country, the head of government Claudia Sheinbaum thanked the “shows of support.” Although the president asked that all expression comply with the law, she said that she is not concerned about the complaints that arise before the electoral authority.
At a press conference, Sheinbaum described as something “natural” that towards the 2024 election some people lean towards the candidates for the presidential candidacy, however, he said that the shows of support are not exclusive to Morena, but also other parties also carry out similar activities.
“The possibility of a woman president has generated enthusiasm in many citizens, that is the truth, but when the subject of corcholatas is opened, there are many people who demonstrate for Adán Augusto, for Marcelo Ebrard or for me and I thank them for the support, although all the parties do it”, expressed the local president.
A few days ago, at least five federal deputies from Morena claimed responsibility for the campaign of billboards with the figure of Sheinbaum and the phrase #EsClaudia that has been displayed in several cities in the country and from which the capital’s president has distanced herself.
Given the complaints that the Movimiento Ciudadano party has already presented to the National Electoral Institute (INE) for alleged personalized promotion and those that could be incorporated by other opposition parties, Sheinbaum said she was unconcerned.
“I think I am the person who has the most complaints before the (National Electoral) Institute, and there are not exactly more signs of support on one side than on the other, I am not worried, the truth is, rather, we take care of moving forward with the city ”, he expressed.
Sheinbaum thanked the federal deputies who took responsibility for the billboards, but asked that they be careful in complying with the law.
“The truth is, it must be said that they are very creative (the spectacular ones) and we must be grateful if there are signs of support, now, the recommendation to all is that things be done well.”

The Head of Government assured that the spectacular announcements are not an orchestrated promotion from the Government of Mexico City. She said that neither she nor her team participate in it.
