Morena, PT, Verde and Nueva Alianza refine coalition in the state of Mexico

Naucalpan, Mex., Morena began talks with the leaders of the Labor (PT), Green Ecologist of Mexico (PVEM) and New Alliance (Panal) parties with a view to forming a coalition for the 2023 elections, which will renew the governorship in the state of Mexico, reported local deputies.

At a press conference, seven state legislators from Morena expressed their support for the teacher Delfina Gómez, elected coordinator of the 4T Defense Committees in the entity, and stated that the former Secretary of Education will unify her party.

Deputy Isaac Montoya recalled that in the 2017 gubernatorial election, Morena obtained one million 871 thousand 542 votes, and the National Action Party (PAN) reached 682 thousand 550.

He stated that Morena is working to consolidate an alliance with the PT, the PVEM and Panal, which would add at least 12 percentage points to the 42.5 percent support that the icing party has today.

Montoya stated that the best survey is the results of the 2018 and 2021 elections, when the 125 mayors of the state were renewed. In 2018 we went to 2 for onesince Morena obtained 2,234,310 votes, the Institutional Revolutionary Party received 1,539,691, and the PAN added less than 1,30,000, the legislator said.

He added that in 2021 Morena remained the first political force in the entity.
