Morena prepares rules to ban nepotism since 2027 after Sheinbaum's letter

“We are going to make a call to a national council. There are two relevant issues. The first has to do with nepotism. We know that the president proposed to Congress a reform to the Constitution to end nepotism and re -election. This reform was approved by 2030, but internally we have decided to apply them not only, but rather in an agreement of the Council by 2027,” said the morenista.

The second topic to be discussed, he said, is to establish the “Clear of the game” rules for the 2027 elections, when 13 governors are elected and the 500 federal deputies; That is, point out through a decalogue what they can and not do the Morena contestants.

“(It is to guarantee and preserve mysticism, principles, respect and have clarity of the path to the choice of 2027. (…) to be able to have a decalogue of rules that we all must respect and the one who does not respect it can be clearly taken, having the processes (of sanction),” he said.

This occurs after the president announced from her Mañanera conference that she would send a letter to Morena to “request” that clear rules are established for candidates aspiring and thus avoid early campaign acts.

“The letter is a reconstruction of where we come, of what has been the thought of republican austerity and that there can be no rich government with poor people. We are the transformation movement, one of the most important in the world. We are an international reference, and most importantly, for our people,” he said.
