In addition to being the party in government, to which President Andrés Manuel López Obrador belongs and with whose project -according to the polls- the majority of Mexican voters agree, being a Morenista militant is also seen as an opportunity to access a candidacy.
In that party, the militants are called protagonists of the True Change and they have the right to participate in the assemblies of the electoral district in which they live, of the 300 electoral demarcations in which the country is divided.
These types of assemblies are the ones that will be held this weekend to elect, from among 400 candidates in each district, only 10 (five men and five women) per demarcation, to serve as district coordinators. According to the rules, it will be forbidden to form forms or currents for the block vote.
This Saturday will be the plenary sessions in the districts of the states of Baja California, Baja California Sur, Sonora, Sinaloa, Nayarit, Tamaulipas, Zacatecas, Veracruz, Oaxaca, Tabasco, Chiapas, Campeche, Quintana Roo, Guerrero, Hidalgo, Mexico City , Puebla, Tlaxcala, Colima and Michoacan.
On Sunday the 31st they will be in the states of Durango, Jalisco, Coahuila, Chihuahua, Nuevo León, Aguascalientes, San Luis Potosí, Guanajuato, Yucatán, Querétaro, Morelos and the State of Mexico.
The route to climb in Morena
Automatically, upon accessing that position of district coordinator, the 10 militants who are elected in each of the districts -3,000 in total- will occupy four more positions and simultaneously: state congressmen, state councilors and national congressmen.
