“We are not going with this commission to try – as they say – to seek political revenge, no, he who owes nothing fears nothing. Sooner or later everything comes to light,” said Xóchitl Bravo, coordinator of the Morena parliamentary group, at a press conference.
The legislator recalled that a point of agreement was approved in the capital’s Congress to create the investigative commission, with which an appeal is also made to the local Attorney General’s Office and the Secretariat of Citizen Security to investigate those responsible for the acts of violence in the demonstration.
Likewise, the Comptroller General of Mexico City is asked to investigate the alleged acts of coercion of officials and merchants carried out by the governments of the Miguel Hidalgo and Cuauhtémoc mayors to participate in the march.
Mayors Mauricio Tabe and Alessandra Rojo de la Vega are also urged to temporarily separate from their positions to be investigated.
The coordinator of Morena’s legislators warned that even if the president of the Political Coordination Board (Jucopo), PAN member Andrés Atayde, does not issue the parliamentary agreement to create the special investigative commission, Morena can do so as a parliamentary group, since it has a weighted majority and in one way or another it will be installed this week.
“We are going to reach the ultimate consequences,” he stated.
Bravo accused the opposition legislators of being “hypocrites”, since the PAN and the PRI asked to investigate the actions of the so-called “black bloc” in the march on October 2 and now they accuse repression by the capital’s police in the demonstration on November 15.
“The right wants to leave in the collective atmosphere that the police of this city repress, but they are so hypocritical, they are so detestable, that in the October 2 march we are going to leave the videos, the Morena deputies got up on the platform to say why the police were not repressed and defended.
“Three Doritos later, when the march of Generation Z comes, the other way around, why do they repress,” said the Morenoist representative.
