The Secretary General of the Movement Toward Socialism (FURTHER), Felipe Mujica, said on Monday, May 8, that the death of eight migrants in Texas is an example that reflects the “most intense and profound” crisis that Venezuelans are experiencing, since due to the economic crisis, many families They have divided because there are people who go out looking for better opportunities outside of Venezuela.
Mujica recalled that Venezuelan migrants, who number between six and seven million, must go through too many obstacles full of risk and danger, for which he blamed the administration of Nicolás Maduro for causing forced migration because there are no conditions in the country of stability.
“It is clear that the main responsibility for why the Venezuelan diaspora is because the worst government in our history has been the cause of millions of Venezuelans having to leave here because the living conditions in our country do not guarantee them the possibility of to be able to have a normal life”, said the MAS leader according to a press release.

Mujica also referred to the May 1 announcements about the increase in bonuses and not the minimum wage. In his opinion, the administration of Nicolás Maduro “did not have the intelligence” to speak publicly with businessmen and unions about it “because they do what they want.”
In the same way, he assured that those who hold power use the issue of sanctions against Venezuela at their convenience and thus justify the current situation in the country and the national economy.
The MAS leader referred to the promise made by the late Hugo Chávez to jump “true salaries” for all Venezuelans and told President Nicolás Maduro that he continues a policy of substituting salaries for bonuses that supposedly was no longer going to be done. since Chavismo came to power.

“Maduro, what is going to be done in Venezuela? What are you saying right now or what Chávez said in that video? Because what you are doing is totally contrary to what Chávez supposedly promised in that video, which, by the way, was not that he did it, but he said that he was going to do it, ”Mujica questioned.
Felipe Mujica expressed his opinion, on behalf of the MAS party, on the case of the former mayor of the city of El Tigre in Anzoátegui, Ernesto Paraqueima, saying that the investigation that is being followed reveals that in Venezuela there is no autonomy of powers despite their mistakes.
“They ignored everything that is established for the proper procedure in these cases and decided by non-constitutional mechanisms to act against them, preventing the autonomy of powers from serving to control excesses and illegal actions committed by an individual or a public official,” ended.
