Approximately 3,150 officers of the Bolivarian National Armed Force (FANB) received their promotions this Friday.
During the act, the Minister for Defense, Vladimir Padrino López, highlighted the commitment of the officials to see the country in a future perspective.
“I take my hat off with these direct from the academy. I take my hat off with the commanders of battalions, groups, detachments, ship commanders (…) I take my hat off because one sees the attitude of the man, of the woman. They are patriots and that has a prize for the heart, which is glory, ”said Padrino López in an audiovisual material published on his account on the social network Twitter.
In this regard, he stated that promotions are not only an award for merit, but also recognize the work carried out by the military in the fight for justice,
“By ascending to the higher grade and hierarchy, we are not only rewarding merit, we are also doing an act of justice and national gratitude. My CONGRATULATIONS go to the officers and Professional Troops of the #FANB that today they are recognized and promoted. Go ahead!”, he wrote on the social network.
In addition to the promoted officers, more than 9,600 professional troops who passed all the physical, moral and intellectual tests carried out by the military institution to grant promotions were promoted in the act; refers to the Venezuelan News Agency (AVN).
In this sense, Padrino López stated that “each one of them has contributed, we all add to a great ideal, which is republican peace, to see our country developing with our own effort, our hands. I congratulate the Officers and the Professional Troops who have put their hands in the fire in each of their tasks so that this institution continues to shine in virtues”.
On the other hand, he recognized the work of the women and men of the FANB whom he described as heroines and anonymous heroes for “maintaining the peace of the republic, to keep the country and the people cohesive, based on the artful imperialist attacks that seek to divide us.”
