More than a thousand march in Huancavelica in solidarity with Juliaca

More than a thousand people, members of unions and associations, came out to march against the government of President Dina Boluarte and asking for the closure of Congress.

The president of the defense front, José Crispin Calderón, affirmed that they abide by a 24-hour strike, in which they also seek to show their solidarity for the deceased in the Puno region.

“Peru is in mourning and Huancavelica is no stranger, that is why it has come out to express that repudiation,” said Crispín Calderón, who added that Congress should not give confidence to the Otárola cabinet.

He added: “This 24-hour strike was decreed, first in solidarity with our brothers from Juliaca, in Puno, where there is a report of 21 deaths.”

Likewise, regarding the vote of confidence in the Otárola cabinet, he expressed that he should not be given confidence and described this government as delegitimized by the population.

“The elections should be this year, but they don’t want to do it to take care of their economic and political interests,” said the leader.
