Some 1,139 firearms of various calibers are destroyed this Thursday, April 27, during the fourth ceremony held in 2023, at the National Police headquarters, located in the township of Ancón.
These are weapons seized in various operations and proceedings throughout the country, broken down as follows: 1,037 revolvers, 19 pistols, 37 shotguns, 41 rifles, 04 pellets, and 01 submachine gun.
The weapons are guarded by the units of the National Arms Directorate and taken to the Weapons Destruction Center, located at the National Police headquarters, complying with the stipulated security procedures.
With this destruction of weapons, there are 35 ceremonies that are carried out in the current administration of President Laurentino Cortizo Cohen, reaching 32,054 firearms, 470,691 ammunition, 7,323 suppliers and 4,460 explosive devices.
