The mayor of San Juan de Los Morros, in Guárico state, Sulme Ávila, described the situation in the Juan Germán Roscio municipality as critical, due to the constant rainfall that has been recorded in recent days.
He commented that in the area there are more than 164 families at risk not only of losing their homes, but also their lives, in the face of the governor’s indifference.
Ávila specified that “needs do not know political color, we are authorities who were elected to serve everyone equally.” He reported that he traveled to Caracas to hold meetings with national authorities to provide assistance with machinery and human equipment before regretting a situation.

He stressed that the material losses so far are incalculable, as well as of animals that served as sustenance for entire families, and he informed the minister of the secretariat of the national presidency, once he held a meeting this Wednesday, who immediately put at their disposal heavy machinery and human capital that moved to the affected areas to work and avoid the loss of human lives.
