More than 907 thousand people have been vaccinated against influenza

From April 25 to July 13, the Ministry of Health (Minsa) has applied 907 thousand 447 doses against the influenza at the national level, this through the Expanded Immunization Program (PAI) that they carry out in conjunction with the Social Security Fund (CSS).

The report details that the Ministry of Health (Minsa) has applied 680,883 doses against the virus of the influenza, while the Social Security Fund has applied 226,564 doses against this disease.

It is noteworthy that the three (3) Health regions with the most people vaccinated against influenza are: Metropolitan Region with 219,974 doses applied, of which 171,032 doses correspond to the Minsa and the Social Security Fund with 48,942 doses.

It is followed by the Chiriquí region with 107,968 applied doses, corresponding to 82,961 applied doses from the Minsa and the Social Security Fund with 25,007 doses; and the West Panama region with 75,978 people immunized, of which 43,798 doses were placed by personnel from the Minsa and the Social Security Fund with 32,180 doses applied.

The influenza vaccine is applied free of charge, in health centers and all polyclinics of the Social Security Fund, nationwide.
