The Specialized Corps for Land Border Security (CESFronT) delivered to the Specialized Corps for Fuel Control and Merchandise Trade (CECCOM) the amount of 831,270 units of cigarettes of different brands and other products that were attempted to be introduced into the country in an irregular manner.r.
Of these cigarettes, 805,480 units were Capital brand, 15,040 Point and 10,750 Comme Faul.
This Friday, CESFronT also delivered 46,400 units of different medications, 5,552 alcoholic and energy drinks, and 104 gallons of clerén to CECCOM.
These goods were confiscated thanks to the hard work carried out by C-2, the Intelligence Department of CESFronT, and the firm commitment of the members of the Armed Forces who serve in the operational bases.
The directors of CECCOM, Brigadier General César A. Miranda Mañón, ERD, and of CESFronT, Brigadier General Freddy Rafael Soto Thormann, ERD, highlighted that these seizures are the result of the intense work being carried out on the border, in accordance with the guidelines of the Minister of Defense, Lieutenant General Carlos Luciano Díaz Morfa, ERD.
In these operations carried out since mid-October to date, around 9,659,300 cigarettes and nearly 73,094 bottles of alcoholic beverages have been seized, this being the seventh delivery of the year.
