More than 8,000 vacancies: three state entities launch public tender in February

The Colombian public sector opens its doors to new professionals through merit competitions. During February 2025, the SENA, the Attorney General’s Office and the Comptroller General of the Republic will begin their respective selection processes, offering more than 8,000 vacancies in different areas.

SENA Contest: Vacancies and process stages

The National Learning Service (SENA) will open registrations under the selection process SENA 4, which will include ascent and open income modalities. Among the most relevant aspects of the process are:

STAGES OF THE CONTEST: Verification of minimum requirements, written tests, background assessment and interviews.
Participation requirements: Applicants must meet the minimum requirements defined in the technical annex of the process.
Registration: Soon the registration and sale of participation rights through the CNSC will be enabled.

Professional: 698 vacancies
Instructor: 941 vacancies
Technician: 130 vacancies
Assistance: 31 vacancies

Contest of the Attorney General: Opportunities in Forensic Investigation and Analysis

The Contest of the Attorney General’s Office will offer opportunities in different professional and technical profiles, including:

Criminal investigation
Forensic analysis
Criminal law
Administration and other related disciplines

Although the process is still in planning, it is recommended to be attentive to the official announcements of the Prosecutor’s Office and the Free University, who will publish the official requirements and schedules.

In addition, the National Civil Service Commission (CNSC) has announced that in 2025 more than 18,000 vacancies will open in various public entities, including SENA and civil aeronautics.

General Comptroller Contest: Key Requirements and Dates

To apply to vacancies of the Comptroller General, applicants must comply with certain criteria, among them:

Academic Training: Professional title in related areas.
Work experience: Minimum experience according to the call.
Documentation: Academic and labor certificates that prove compliance with requirements.
