The National Electoral Institute (INE) reports that the more than 800 citizen service modules will suspend their activities on December 24 and 25 and from December 29, 2025 to January 3, 2026.
The agency’s appointment system is enabled to schedule only on the days that the service will be provided to citizens. The national electoral authority indicates that services will resume as usual on December 26 and from January 5, 2026.
Likewise, it calls on citizens to attend their scheduled appointment, on the day and time they requested, in order to use the full capacity of the service available in these modules.
In the more than 800 INE modules, Mexican people over 18 years of age can obtain the voting credential, register in the electoral roll and carry out procedures such as updating the address, replacing the license in case of theft or loss, correcting errors in the person’s name and renewal due to loss of validity, among others.
To carry out these official procedures, three documents must be presented in original, without erasures or amendments: birth certificate, identification with a current photograph and proof of address (with an issue date no older than three months).
