More than 8 million balboas are invested in social and health matters in Los Santos

This Saturday, January 21, the National Government carried out a work tour in Guararé de Los Santos, in which the Ministry of Health (Minsa) indicated that B/. 2,859,102.66 million balboas in vaccines for the application of 265,892 doses against Covid-19; In terms of infrastructure, the Ministry of Health has carried out works for B/: 914,912.17 balboas to benefit 100,247 inhabitants who go to the Reintegra center in Tonosí, for the roof of the Joaquín Pablo Franco Sayas hospital, the Minsa-Capsi in Pedasí and the Center for Health of Sabana Grande.

In the same way, to improve some infrastructures, B/. 321,528.56 balboas to benefit a population of 29,215 balboas in Hospitals, rural Tonosí, Joaquín Pablo Franco Sayas; the Minsa-Capsi of La Villa and Macaracas and the Health Centers, Carlos Ugalde (Guararé) and Lajamina; which in terms of infrastructure in Los Santos adds up to B/. 1,236,440.73 that benefits 129,460 inhabitants.

Regarding medicines and health supplies, close to B/. 74,981.18 have been used for the benefit of more than 90,000 inhabitants, not only in medicines, but also in surgical and oral health supplies.

Also in the provision and equipment of services, B/. 115,666.80 balboas to strengthen the primary care network and benefit more than 95,000 inhabitants who are treated at the Anita Moreno and Joaquín Pablo Franco Sayas hospitals, which have equipment such as portable sphygmomanometer, vital sign monitors, portable diagnostic set at their disposal , portable suction and ventilator for Intensive Care Unit.

The Colmena Plan in the region has an investment of B/. 1,232,063.10 benefiting 35,265 residents and broken down as follows, B/. 1,010,160.00 to the Maternal and Child Early Care Program (PATMI), which distributed 980 quintals of vitacrema, benefiting 2,197 people in the corregimientos where this project is being developed; with micronutrients for a cost of B/. 121,903.41 benefited 25,068 inhabitants including children from 4 months to 59, schoolchildren, pregnant women, postpartum women and women of childbearing age and FORIS has benefited 8,000 people with a State contribution of 100,000.00.

Supply of disinfection equipment, supplies and pipes for the improvement and rehabilitation of rural aqueducts in the district of Guararé, consisting of 3 complete submersible pumps of 2 HP (2) and one of 3; ten tanks of 50-pound Calcium Hypochlorite tablets at 65% (750 tablets); 5 chlorinators; 15 chlorine and pH comparator kits; 150 sections of 2-inch PVC pipe and SDR 26, 200 sections of 1 and a half, 50 sections of 6 and 50 sections of half an inch with SDR 13.5.

The delivery is complemented by 500 circuits for Zoll transport fans, at a cost of B/. 30,000.00; 2 mechanical weights with height rod for B/. 791.80; 5 supplies of non-contact led light examination lamps per B/. 2,996.00; 5 portable pulse oximeters for pediatric, adult and neonate use by B/. 1,048.60 and 2 wheelchairs for B/. 470.00 that add up to a total of B/. 97,806.40 balboas, additional to an Isuzu 4X4 vehicle, diesel, double cabin and a set of additional tires for a cost of B/. 25,676.83 dollars.
