The Ministry of Health, through the Expanded Immunization Program (PAI) reported that, until October 17, a total of 8,652,344 doses against COVID-19 have been applied throughout the national territory.
Of this total 3 million 508 thousand 873 correspond to the first dose; 3 million 156 thousand 322 second doses; 11 thousand 981 third doses; 5 thousand 099 fourth dose; 1 million 727 thousand 806 first booster and 242 thousand 263 second booster dose.
In coverage of 88.4% of the first dose; second dose 79.5% and the first reinforcement 43.8% coverage, for which the population is asked to place their reinforcements to combat this deadly disease together.
Meanwhile, coverage is stipulated among children from 5 to 11 years old with a population of 515 thousand 487 with a first dose coverage of 56.9%; second dose, with a coverage of 34.3% and 0.7% coverage of booster dose.
Meanwhile, in the population between 12 and 15 years old, a population of 291 thousand 561, there is a coverage of 93%; second dose with 82.8% coverage and 3.0% third coverage and the fourth dose 0.1%.
From 16 to 19 years old, the population is 290 thousand 423 with a first dose coverage of 88.3%; 75.2% second dose; third dose of 41.8% and the fourth dose of 0.6%.
In the population aged 20 to 59 years, a total of 84.6% of the first dose; 78.8% second dose; 51.9% third dose (first booster) and 6.4% fourth dose (second booster)
As for the population over 60 years of age, with a total of 554 thousand 649 people, a total of 130.9% have applied the first dose; second dose 124.9%, 72.7% third dose; and a fourth dose a total of 17.7%.
Vaccination strategies
In the national consolidation presented by the Expanded Program on Immunizations (PAI), the first doses of Pediatric Pfizer have been applied to 10,398 chronic patients; disabled 1,998; healthy 280 thousand 964 doses and two (2) pregnant, making a total of 293 thousand 363 doses applied.
Likewise, it is highlighted that a total of 139 thousand 553 applied doses of Pediatric Pfizer of the School Program have been placed per circuit.
Of which 58 thousand 783 correspond to the first doses; 78,834 second doses and 277 booster doses.
