According to data provided by the Ministry of Security, the structure has four floors, an elevator, a central air conditioning system, hygienic bathrooms for the units, ample parking, as well as sections with offices for the various police services in the province.
The new headquarters of the Colon Police Zone is a work that has a cost of $7,052,263.14, and favors the needs for improvements in the conditions of the current installation of the National Police in this province.
It will concentrate in the same place various police units such as the Judicial Investigation Directorate (DIJ), which will result in a better service when searching for police records, among other procedures that are also provided to citizens and lawyers.
Recently, 150 units have joined the Community Police Unit known by its acronym (UPC), located in Altos de los Lagos, to promote values and be guides for children and young people who deserve to have a childhood, stay in class and not be recruited for organized crime.
