More than 69,000 people have been vaccinated against different diseases, at the national level, through the Expanded Program on Immunization (EPI) with the Vaccination Day of the Americas. This was reported by the Ministry of Health (Minsa), detailing that as of yesterday 69,142 people had been vaccinated, of which 34,180 are insured and 34,962 are uninsured.
According to the EPI of the vaccines applied, 120 doses are of BCG, 642 doses of DPT, 1,825 doses against polio, 3,401 of pneumococcus, 470 doses of HEXA, 837, Hepatitis. A 2,608, Hepatitis B 2,115 doses, yellow fever 355 doses and influenza 59,283 doses.
The EPI also reported that this year 64,529 influenza vaccines have been applied.
The Minsa reminded the population to attend the vaccination centers and points authorized by the National Government so that they can comply with the complete vaccination scheme and avoid diseases that are already controlled and preventable.
