More than 52,000 people took advantage of the great food offers offered by the unexpected in their great Christmas of Change Fairs carried out by order of the Presidency of the Republic and which took place in the National District, Santo Domingo Norte, Santiago and at the end of the week in Santo Domingo Oeste, in the old Herrera Airport.
More than 20,000 Dominicans put together their Christmas Eve dinner with the products of the institution during the fourth fair, managing to acquire 67,110 pounds of pork legs; 111,825 pounds of frozen chickens; 41,548 pounds of rice; 169,660 units of eggs; a large number of combos, grapes, raisins, nationally produced wines and 55 other foods. The big news was the start of sales of piglets weighing almost 30 pounds at 2,500 pesos and large pigs weighing 80 pounds at 4,000 pesos.
Director of unexpectedIván Hernández Guzmán, thanked the Dominican people for the trust placed in Inespre’s products, especially to celebrate such a special dinner as Christmas Eve.

Hernández Guzmán highlighted that “the Dominican Government has organized more wineries, markets and fairs than in the previous eight years and this has been possible thanks to the effort and vision of the President of the Republic, Luis Abinader, who since he took office has put the national productive apparatus in place and ordered the delivery of a zero-rate loan incentive for national producers, we have already invested more than 12 billion pesos in the field at zero rate.
While the deputy director of Inespre, Lino Fulgencio, said he hoped that the Dominican population would take advantage of the low prices that the institution has in fairs and in all its institutional programs, so that this Christmas the population has access to many varied, quality foods and low costs.
While Juan de la Cruz, in charge of Inespre in the Santo Domingo province, highlighted the effort of hundreds of men and women who work so that the institution continues to function and look good at these big events, alleging that these fairs are from the government to Dominican people.
Consulted housewives expressed satisfaction with the low prices of pork, chicken, rice, pigeon peas, beans, eggs, vegetables for Christmas Eve, grapes, national wines, seasonings, vegetables, highlighting their cleanliness and quality and good staff services and called on President Luis Abinader to increase popular sales.
