During the XII South American Games Asunción 2022, through the management of the National Secretariat of Tourism (Senatur), and Itaipu Binational, free tourist circuits are carried out for international visitors.
To date, more than 500 foreigners toured tourist attractions in the Central and Cordillera departments, aboard buses provided by the Itaipu Binational Entity.
The tour that starts from Turista Róga of SENATUR, and continues with a stop to learn about the work of artisans in silver filigree in the town of Luque.
Next, tourists have the opportunity to experience ceramic work in “Noborigama”, which has one of the largest nobogrigama kilns in South America.
Later, the tour continues in the Iglesia Nuestra Señora de la Candelaria, and the craft tour of the creative city of Unesco, Areguá.
Members of the delegations from Argentina, Aruba, Brazil, Colombia, Chile, Peru, Venezuela, and Uruguay participated in the Tours.
The Tourist Circuit culminates in the summer town of San Bernardino, with a visit to the Mirador Stairway, the Paseo de la Guarania, the pier and the craft space of the town.
Visitors highlight the experiential moment, the infrastructure and the cordiality of the Paraguayans throughout the tour.
