During the Easter holidays, the island of Margarita in the state of Nueva Esparta has received at least 500 tourists between Russians and Trinidadians. This was reported this Thursday, April 6, through its Twitter account by the Bolivarian Airports (BAER), the company in charge of managing the operation of 31 airports in Venezuela.
“We enthusiastically welcome passengers from Port of Spain, from the Piarco International Airport in Trinidad and Tobago. A total of 107 tourists arrived on Margarita Island!”, was published on the institution’s official networks.
For its part, the Ministry of Transportation, G/D Ramón Celestino Velásquez Araguayán, announced the entry of 400 Russian tourists to the Venezuelan insular region.

Gómez recalled that the air operation to bring Cubans to the island is part of the Ministry of Tourism’s strategy to position Venezuela as a tourist destination.
