The National Police will provide security to national and foreign citizens with a foot force of more than 500 units during the “Panama Black Weekend” offers, to be held from September 14 to 18 at the national level.

The preventive actions began with a flyer and live broadcasts from the Albrook Mall Shopping Center, where the units provided recommendations, in addition to security tips through the entity’s social networks.

Deputy Commissioner Thelma Palma, head of the Citizen Participation and Integration Service of the National Police, indicated that the uniformed officers will reinforce surveillance in the shopping centers of Panama City in coordination with those in charge of the security of these premises.

In addition, units of the Tourist Police, who speak in various languages, will maintain their presence not only in tourist areas but also in shopping centers, to guide those foreigners who visit the country.

• Avoid talking to strangers while waiting, do not fall into distractions or confusion.
• Use the ATMs located in lighted areas, and preferably, where there are security personnel.
