More than 50 people have been arrested in Portuguesa for violent acts

In the state of Portuguesa, more than 50 people have been arrested for having carried out acts of vandalism that threatened peace, security and infrastructure in the region in recent days, mainly in the cities of Guanare, Acarigua and Araure.

The information was provided by Governor Primitivo Cedeño, who, together with police and military authorities, stated that they are working together to guarantee the safety and protection of the population. “In Portuguesa, fascist acts of any kind will not be tolerated,” he stressed.

He pointed out that anyone who tried to cause chaos in the state with acts of violence will have to assume their responsibility before the courts and for this, Operation Tun-Tun will continue its course until the whereabouts of all those responsible are found. “We have fully identified the financiers, the operators, those who lend them motorcycles, those who supply them with gasoline, the politicians who are behind all these fascist acts and even the administrators of web portals and social networks that incite hatred,” he said.

The regional leader noted that useful material for investigations has been obtained from the cell phones of those arrested and said that they will be relentless in applying the law to punish the leaders and operators of violent and terrorist actions. “They are all being identified because they ‘leave fingerprints’ on cell phones, so no one can say it wasn’t me,” he said.
