As a result of the irregularities that, according to what they affirm, the National Institute of Student Welfare (Inabie) in the tenders to supply school lunch and breakfast, some 4,578 jobs will be lost, since more than 766 MSMEs were eliminatedsuppliers reported yesterday.

“More than 766 MSMEs from 30 provinces were eliminated as a result of the “contaminated evaluations” of installed capacity and distance made by the experts of the current Inabie management,” they explained.

the supplier Ivan Miniño detailed that with have 595 rations available to the 2,177 bidders and jobs that participated in the tender could be fulfilled with the number of available places according to Inabie.
He assured that an evaluation by points was made and then the Inabie administration itself has violated the rules.
“I can attest to it because I have proof. We were the best bidder in the Peravia province, however, points were taken away from us and they sent us to a draw where we did not win any”, he said.
The suppliers assured that there are new companies that did not qualify, however they were awarded up to three lots.
“They are already looking for those who can do the batches for them because they do not have the capacity,” they pointed out.
