State Attorney General, Róger Mariaca, reported that More than 400 subject prosecutorsin addition to experts from the Forensic Investigation Institute (IDIF) and support personnel from the Public Ministry, they will work in reinforced shifts nationwide before, during and after the general elections set for this August 17.
“We have other illicit facts to investigate in the country; however, the instruction was issued so that they are attentive to any antecedent that can be investigated within the whole country,” Mariaca said from Sucre.
The State Attorney General and the Plenary Chamber of the Supreme Electoral Court (TSE), held meetings in which they agreed Uninterrupted work of the Public Ministry during the general elections. Along the same lines, the nine departmental prosecutors maintained coordination with the vowels of the departmental electoral courts.
Mariaca indicated that in Santa Cruz met with the vowels of the electoral body in its Plenary Chamber, to “coordinate everything that can be carried out institutionally in relation to the elections.”
According to the official report, 425 subject prosecutors will work through nationwide shiftsin provinces as in department capitals, of which 124 were designated in La Paz, 84 Santa Cruz, 43 Tarija, 39 Chuquisaca, 38 Cochabamba, 36 Beni, 30 Oruro, 21 Potosí and 12 Pando. This work will be reinforced with 251 IDIF experts and support personnel.
The departmental prosecutor of Santa Cruz, Alberto Zeballos, confirmed that The 84 prosecutors will develop functions, together with their secretaries, attendees and all staff Before, during and after the elections, to guarantee the process and act in a timely manner when required.
Likewise, the Public Ministry also will work in coordination with various institutions such as the Police, the Ombudsman’s Office and all those that are mobilized during election day.
During the development of the electoral calendar of the 2025 general elections, Electoral crimes could be presented which can be committed by electoral jurors and notaries, political or citizen organizations.
