The National Secretary of Energy of Panama, Jorge Rivera Staff, explained that in Panama there are approximately 540 fuel stations, of which 461 are authorized to sell a gallon of gasoline and diesel for $3.25.
According to Rivera, half of the fuel stations are private concessionaires and do not belong to the oil companies, so not all of them are included, as he indicated this Tuesday, in Telemetro Reporta.
He also pointed out that the market price is on the signs of the fuel stations, however, on the website of the Government Innovation Authority (AIG) and the Ministry of Energy, you can verify which stations are enabled.
Rivera explained that the verification of the plate and identity card is carried out for traceability reasons and to have a control regarding the reimbursement to the oil companies.
He added that, given this decrease in the price of fuel, an avalanche of Costa Ricans could arrive in the country with the intention of receiving the benefit, however, if they do not have a license plate registered with the Land Transit and Transportation Authority (ATTT) of Panama, you will not receive the benefit.
