Quotas for the construction of 439 homes were raffled, to which the cooperatives that directly accessed for having participated in the third raffle joined.
Minister Irene Moreira referred to the work carried out throughout the year around the cooperative program, among these, the loan deeds that have been increasing since 2020 to date. In 2020, 31 cooperatives were notarized while in this 2022 there were 64 signed deeds.
Another of the measures implemented was the reimbursement of contributions to 11 cooperatives that for more than 10 years had stopped the works due to lack of funds. In this way, with this refund they will have the capital to be able to finish their home.
The biggest announcement of the day was the much-demanded interest rate reduction, which now becomes 2% for those who pay the fee on time. A measure long requested by the cooperative groups and that as of March 2023 becomes a reality. It is important to note that this measure is retroactive to 2020.
The cooperative program is one of the programs that builds the most homes. The Mvot will continue working so that more families have access to the dream of having their home.
