More than 40 researchers are in Panama to deal with issues related to the Afro-American and indigenous populations, among others

Panama is hosting the International Conference of the Americas, which began on Wednesday, June 22 and ends this Friday, June 24, and brought an important group of researchers and experts on topics and studies on the Afro-American population, the Latino and indigenous population, the Asian population and other ethnic groups and their social, political, economic and educational reality.

Ricardo Fuenmayor, coordinator of the International Conference of the Americas, stressed that the occasion is timely for the community to acquire information associated with global research on Panama, research on the Afro-Panamanian community, the opportunity to develop research and studies, and exchange with different experts and researchers from around the world.

He added that during these days it will be possible to hear official reports from governments involved in community development, reports related to the Afro population and other cultures, exchanging knowledge of great value for Panama and the world.

More than 40 researchers and specialists from the United States, Central America, Panama, South America, Africa, Europe and Asia, will give more than 30 presentations with different research topics, which will be open to the general public and anyone can attend and take advantage of the wealth of this conference.

This is the third year that this conference has been held, which could not be held for two years due to Covid-19.
