More than 40 million will be invested in the province of Los Santos to build houses, modular bridges and health centers

The President of the Republic, Laurentino Cortizo Cohen and his work team, delivered this Friday orders to proceed for the construction of modular bridges and for the rehabilitation and financing of the Boulevard at the entrance to Las Tablas and the bypass via Pedasí, during the Tour of Community Work (GTC) number 114 in Pocrí province of Los Santos.

Some 20 entities delivered works and benefits during the GTC for the sum of B/. 5,393,228.62.

Through the Ministry of Public Works (MOP) the orders to proceed were delivered for 10 modular bridges for progress; as well as the rehabilitation and financing project of the Boulevard at the entrance to Las Tablas and the Pedasí bypass, whose investment amounts to B/. 14.5 million.

The Puentes Modulares consortium made up of the companies Constructora Urbana, SA and Toronto Global Holdings Corp, with an investment of B/. 8, 274,146.24 will be responsible in some cases, for the supply of materials and in others, for the installation of modular bridges.

For its part, the MOP will be in charge of installing the modular bridges that will benefit the districts of Lajamina / Pocrí; paritilla; La Mielita / La Tronosa / Tonosí; El Guásimo and Los Santos, with an investment of B/. 2,299,912.94.

In the rehabilitation and financing of the Boulevard at the entrance to Las Tablas and the Pedasí bypass, the investment is B/. 6,294,690.27 and the contractor is the Constructora V&G Consortium made up of Constructora V&G and Grupo Corporativo GS SA

Likewise, the design and construction of a bike lane will be carried out at the entrance to Las Tablas in the direction of the Circunvalación.

The Ministry of Health also delivered the order to proceed from the Sabana Grande Health Center Project for an amount of B/. 739,020.00 and that will benefit a population of 5 thousand 84 inhabitants.

This order to proceed contemplates the execution, development of final plans, construction of civil works, equipment of the expansion and improvements of the center.

For its part, the National Decentralization Authority delivered 58 projects in the order of B/. 1,927,878.41 that will benefit a population of 38,759 people, such as improvement of aqueducts, construction of sidewalks, sports fields, churches, production roads.

In addition, during the GTC, Order to Proceed No. 25-2022 for the construction of 300 homes under the Progress Plan was delivered to representatives of the Los Santos Plan Progress Housing Project Consortium, which will benefit more than a thousand people from the province at a cost of B/. 7 million 194 thousand 776.

Agro Sector

The President also delivered 29 highly genetic stallions of the Gyrolando, Pardo, Swiss, Holstein, Beefmaster and Angus breeds to producers in the province of Los Santos.

During the delivery, Cortizo Cohen said he was satisfied with his administration despite all the challenges he has had to face in these 38 months of management, “I like to face great challenges, because it gives meaning to life, and it is the opportunity perfect to serve, our satisfaction is to be able to extend our hand”.

He recalled that blood from Santeño runs through his veins and the happy moments that he spent during his childhood in this beautiful province, in the same way he exhorted the producers to use the guide of the rancher to maintain an adequate record and put into practice the triangle of success, genetics , nutrition and health.

The Agricultural Insurance Institute (ISA) paid compensation to small farmers in the province, for a total amount of B/. 11,499.56, while the Agricultural Development Bank (BDA) delivered checks corresponding to the Agro Solidario program for the sum of B/. 135,200.00 in loans to producers in the province.

Social help

The Ministry of Social Development (MIDES) handed over the keys to the Comprehensive Care Centers for Early Childhood (CAIPI) in Guararé and Pedasí, with an investment of B/. 270,486.40. Both CAIPI underwent remodeling, improvement, adjustments and equipment.

MIDES also awarded three job scholarships from the Godfather Entrepreneur program in Los Santos, while the Hogar San Antonio Foundation (caring for the elderly) and the National Association for Child Nutrition (care center for children and adolescents and nutritional recovery ) received donations.

For its part, the Panamanian Autonomous Cooperative Institute (IPACOOP) gave economic contributions to cooperatives in the province. While the National Council for Sustainable Development (Conades), delivered materials for the improvement of sports teams, aqueducts, churches, health centers and parks, among others.

Musical instruments and computers contributed by the Directorate of Social Assistance (DAS), to the CEBG Ernestina Sucre Falcón. Also, a dump truck to the Community Board of Macaracas, micro silos, grass cutters, construction materials for housing improvements, sports equipment, as part of the Transforming Lives program.

In educational matters, scholarships were paid in the order of B/.11,250.00 and laptops were delivered to 25 university students in the province.

On this occasion, the Ministry of Culture delivered musical instruments to members of the National Network of Children’s and Youth Orchestras and Choirs.
While the National Institute of Vocational Training and Training for Human Development (INADEH) delivered course completion certificates and the National Women’s Institute (INAMU) delivered confectionery supplies.

Entrepreneurs

Entrepreneurs from Pocrí de Los Santos were benefited with Seed Capital by Ampyme, a competitive, non-refundable program whose fundamental pillar is the training of each of the beneficiaries in order to achieve success in entrepreneurship, as well as the FAMI EMPRESA program by SENADIS.

Title deeds

The National Land Administration Authority (Anati), delivered 22 property titles belonging to educational establishments, Chapel, among others.

MINSA
The Ministry of Health delivered disinfection equipment, pumping, supplies and pipes to the Los Santos region, for the improvement and rehabilitation of rural aqueducts. Also medicines, surgical material, laboratory items and imaging and oral health and a double cabin 4X4 pick up vehicle for the Pocrí Health Center.

For its part, the Ministry of Labor and Labor Development (Mitradel) sponsored the signing of the contract through the Socioeconomic Integration program for people with disabilities and the Community Employability and Learning by Doing programs.

housing improvements

The Ministry of Housing and Territorial Planning (Miviot), delivered housing improvements, basic units, houses of the Progress Plan and the order to proceed for the construction of 300 housing solutions to humble families from various communities in this province.
