The Ministry of Labor held yesterday the occupational certification session at the headquarters of the National Professional Promotion Service (SNPP), for workers with empirical knowledge of 42 trades.
The occupational certification provided by the Ministry of Labor is the official recognition of the occupational qualifications of a worker, where their technological knowledge and skills acquired through work experience or through the exercise of an occupation with or without prior training are certified.
Among the trades that were evaluated, through the certification, were assembler of iron for concrete structure, mason assistant, construction carpenter, workshop carpenter, waterproofing, master builder, official mason, construction painter, topographer, auxiliary electrician, home electrician installer, maintenance and repair of refrigeration equipment, cook, baker and waiter.
Also, car electrician, car mechanic, motorcycle mechanic, car painter, blacksmith, electric arc welder, MAG-MIG process welder, TIG process welder, metal turner, industrial safety, vehicle driver, professional driver and tower crane operator.
Likewise, forklift operator, agricultural tractor driver, basic loader operator, basic backhoe operator, basic motor grader operator, automobile bodyworker, sewing machine operator, garment maker, unisex hairdresser, assistant hairdresser, among several others. .
The workers who participate in the occupational certification must accredit through a labor certificate (or be working on site) the exercise of a profession for more than 5 years, time in which they acquired knowledge and skills without having participated in any course.
