Six political organizations are targeting the seat of the Huancavelica Regional Government (GRH) for the 2022 Regional and Municipal Elections to be held on October 2.
SIX LISTS APPLY FOR THE REGIONAL ARMCHAIR
The National Elections Jury (JNE) has registered six political organizations for this year’s elections.
The regional movements: “Ayni” and “Agua”, and the political parties: “Popular Action”, “We Are Peru Democratic Party”, “Alliance for Progress” and “Frente Popular Agrícola FIA del Perú”; are registered for the elections of October 02.
It should be noted that, unlike previous elections, the JNE has registered only two regional movements, leaving out other political organizations that participated in the electoral elections in 2018.
Likewise, the Huancavelica region is seeing for the first time the presence of a greater number of political parties.

It should be noted that, due to the measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19, the JNE ordered that political organizations submit their registration applications through a virtual system, which had observations, for which the electoral body extended the deadline of the registration of lists of candidates.
Likewise, the Special Electoral Juries (JEE) will also begin to receive requests for cross-outs, exclusions and resignations of candidates in order to issue a decision within the period established in accordance with the norm.
Another observation that this electoral process has is the number of inadmissible registrations issued by the JEE through its resolutions, and among the few that are admitted, is the list of candidates for the GRH by the “Ayni”.
BINDING NOTE: 402 registered lists for the region
According to the JNE registry, there are 402 files that were registered in the 4JEE that the Huancavelica region has.
