A total of 333,564 workers were added to the payroll by their employers, in the period from January to November of this year, reported the National Superintendence of Labor Inspection (Sunafil).
indicated that Metropolitan Lima leads the ranking with 204,616 formalized workers; followed by La Libertad with 24,033 formalized workers; Ica with 21,164; Piura with 18,118 and Callao with 8,400.
Which sectors had more formalized workers?
sunafil specified that the workers included in the payroll, for the most part, work in the sector farming (77,667), services (65,920), manufacturing industry (41,376).
Also listed building (35,510) and trade wholesale and retail (29,783).
The entity mentioned that this result was obtained through the various actions of its 26 regional governments, such as the inspection of companies, technical assistance and the sending of dissuasive letters addressed to employers, orientation to workers (so that they know their labor rights, depending on the activity they carry out), as well as the use of the Verifica tu Chamba application.
How do you know if you are registered on the payroll?
sunafil indicated that through Check your Chambain the ‘Procedures and services’ section it will be possible to know if a worker is on the payroll.
Once inside, you can write your ID number and the RUC of the company where you work.
If the company has workers outside its payroll, the sunafil will send you an alert urging you to register them. These alerts are confidential, so that there are no possible reprisals towards workers.
