“At the local level we have support from the Mayor’s Office of Cúcuta, where we have provided aid to serve various populations due to situations such as winter. At the international level, we have received support in various projects regarding the dissemination of International Humanitarian Law and “We have been working in the Catatumbo region with health prevention programs together with the German Red Cross,” said the president of the Red Cross in Norte de Santander.
Márquez added that along with World Food Plan, significant work has been donein attention to the migrant population, providing support to that community that continues to arrive in the region, along with psychosocial accompaniment to walkers.
In the city of Cúcuta, the Red Cross is working hand in hand with communities and local authoritiesin the installation of a recycling plant in the Alfonso Gómez neighborhood, where a significant number of families will benefit from this type of social interventions.
