The MIDE highlighted in a statement that this payment, initially scheduled for the end of January, was brought forward as a gesture of human sensitivity and institutional commitment, allowing retirees and their families to have these resources before the Christmas festivities.
With this delivery, during the month of December a total of 797 retired military personnel will have received their “Salary per Year”, with disbursements that exceed RD$648 million.
The Ministry of Defense recalled that the “Salary per Year” is an institutional right that is nourished by the savings made by the military themselves during their service life, conceived as support for their stability and economic security when they retire.
The institution affirmed that these actions reaffirm its commitment to honor the duties assumed with its active and retired members, recognizing with deeds the loyal and honorable service provided to the nation.
