Más de 300 militares retirados recibirán RD$240 millones en ‘Sueldo por Año’ antes de Navidad

Santo Domingo.– Another group of more than 300 retired military personnel will receive before Christmas the institutional benefit of the “Salary per year”, an income that guarantees economic tranquility and support for their families during this festive season, reported the Ministry of Defense (MIDE).

The institution specified that next Tuesday, December 23, 2025, the process of delivering the checks corresponding to this right acquired by members of the Armed Forces who passed into honorable retirement status during this year will conclude.

In this final stage, the benefit will reach 327 retired military personnel, including sergeants, for a global amount of RD$240,891,152.70, corresponding to the savings accumulated during their active life and delivered in full at the time of retirement.

The MIDE highlighted in a statement that this payment, initially scheduled for the end of January, was brought forward as a gesture of human sensitivity and institutional commitment, allowing retirees and their families to have these resources before the Christmas festivities.

With this delivery, during the month of December a total of 797 retired military personnel will have received their “Salary per Year”, with disbursements that exceed RD$648 million.

The Ministry of Defense recalled that the “Salary per Year” is an institutional right that is nourished by the savings made by the military themselves during their service life, conceived as support for their stability and economic security when they retire.

The institution affirmed that these actions reaffirm its commitment to honor the duties assumed with its active and retired members, recognizing with deeds the loyal and honorable service provided to the nation.
