The Ministry of Commerce carried out this Wednesday an operation to control compliance with the Fair Prices program in more than 300 branches of the Día supermarket chain, in the City of Buenos Aires and the provinces of Buenos Aires, Entre Ríos, Salta and Santa Fe, simultaneously.
During the operation, which included more than 370 auditorsverifications of supplies, signage and agreed prices were carried out.
The Commerce verifiers were accompanied by municipal inspectors, agents of the Buenos Aires Ministry of Production, the Buenos Aires Ombudsman’s Office and the Commerce areas of the aforementioned provinces.
“The operation began simultaneously at 11:00 a.m., when the inspectors visited more than 336 branches (approximately 40% of the chain’s total in the country). The first results showed more than 75 charges and three closures for various infractions,” reported the Secretary of Commerce, led by Matías Tombolini.
the closures they took place at the Avellaneda branch (Belgrano 4222), at the Garín branch (Fructuoso Díaz and Gabriela Mistral avenues) and at the Bernal de Quilmes branch (Lamadrid 442), all in the province of Buenos Aires.
“In the next few days the final results will be obtained,” they detailed from Commerce.
The lightning and simultaneous operations are jointly articulated between different areas of the Government, both at the national, provincial and municipal levels, with the aim of improving effective compliance with the Fair Prices program and avoiding abuses.
