Yesterday was International Women’s Day, and since the beginning of 2022, the Huancavelica region has registered cases of violence in its different forms, the most serious being those with sexual connotations.
According to the registry managed by the Huancavelica Police Region, so far this year there have been more than 30 cases of violence against women.
VIOLENCE IN THE HUANCAVELICA REGION
The cases are registered in the police stations of the Huancavelica region, so that, when faced with a complaint for violating Law No. 30364, the Law to prevent, punish and eradicate violence against women and members of the family group, the police officers to where the cases occur and the people denounced as aggressors intervene.
“In most cases of violence within the home, it is the woman who is the victim, whether the affectation is physical or psychological. For this reason, it is necessary to make the population aware, mainly those who attack or mistreat, so that they become aware of the damage they do and manage to correct themselves,” said Ana Villanueva, Huancavelica Family Prosecutor.

Among the cases that are registered, for example, is the complaint filed by NVSQ (26) against his partner Jhonatán GM (24), who punched his partner and insulted her with profanity, a fact that occurred when the young man he was intoxicated.
Likewise, the CDC (32) denounced her partner Ricardo JQR (32), who, while intoxicated, attacked her both physically and psychologically.
All people who are arrested for aggression are taken to the police stations for the proceedings of the case.
Likewise, the police report the facts to the Prosecutor’s Office for investigations.
