More than 30 tons of fish per month is currently being exported to Florida, United States, by the Fishermen’s Association of Barrio El Porvenir, in the district of Barú.
In 2020, these facilities were built that today serve to store various seafood products, such as red, dorado and silk snappers, gray and red grouper (grouper), conger eel, among others, which are later exported to the North American market.
This export is carried out through the company Independence Sea Food.
