More than 280 deaths from covid and less than 18,000 infections are reported

Deaths from covid-19 in Colombia continue to rise and the figure, since last Sunday, does not drop below 200 a day.

This Wednesday, January 26, 282 were reported and the total number of deaths reached 133,019 in the country.

As for those infected, on the third day of the week they reported 17,889 new positive caseswhich resulted from processing 66,998 tests (28,100 for PCR and 38,898 for antigens).

The country accumulates a historical total of 5,798,799 infections by covid-19 and 31,875,825 samples analyzed.

In addition, 5,545,155 people have recovered from the virus and 100,970 cases are still active.

The areas of the country with the most historical cases continue to be Bogotá (1,648,511), Antioquia (895,326), Valle del Cauca (523,537), Atlántico (379,045) and Cundinamarca (297,255).
