Starting this Thursday, January 3, until Saturday, January 5, pediatric vaccination will be carried out for children between 5 and 11 years old, in the 8-5 circuit in La Chorrera, province of Panamá Oeste.
Kevin Cedeño, Regional Director of Health of Western Panama said that it is expected to inoculate more than 27 thousand children during the days of the day; He stressed that so far in the entire national territory no adverse effect secondary to the application of the vaccine has been registered.
Cedeño emphasized that one of the main weapons for prevention is vaccination and in that sense it should be used.
He mentioned that starting next week the process will begin in the other districts that make up the province of Panama Oeste; Capira, Chamé and San Carlos.
He pointed out that it is important that the child is vaccinated at the beginning of the school year in person so that he has protection and the parent feels more confident that the risk of contracting the virus will decrease.
In La Chorrera the vaccination centers are: José María Barranco School (Barrio Balboa); United Nations School (Barrio Colón); Virgen de Guadalupe School and La Herradura School (Guadalupe); El Coco Bilingual School (El Coco); El Progreso School (Puerto Caimito) and La Doradilla School (Santa Rita, Hurtado and Feuillet). In these centers you will be vaccinated from Thursday to Saturday from 7am.-5pm.
From Thursday the 3rd to Friday the 4th, from 7am to 4pm, the following will operate as vaccination centers: Escuela El Trapichito (Herrera); The Plow School (The Plow); La Mitra School (Leona Beach);
On Saturday January 5th there will be vaccinations, from 7am.- 4pm. at the Ollas Abajo School (Los Díaz and Obaldía); León Soto School (Amador, Iturralde, Arosemena, Mendoza and La Represa).
The authorities urge parents to bring their children with comfortable clothes, have breakfast and to bring the vaccination card or juvenile identity card.
