Yesterday, more than 2,600 boys and girls took over the facilities of the Pipiripi Children’s Park in La Paz, where they celebrated their day with playful games, theater, dance and puppets. In the city of El Alto, the children participated in a tour of museums in that city.

At the Government headquarters, Children’s Day was lived in a big way in Pipiripi, the park where the little ones practiced playful games, such as the hoop and the tunkuña, others made origami figures. There was also theater, puppets, dance, storytelling and even a small market, where the little ones lived the experience of “buying vegetables” from other “caseritas”.

“A total of 2,658 people, including children, parents and even elderly people came to Pipiripi, which after two years celebrated the child,” said Sergio Ríos, responsible for the recreational space. The place was closed in 2020 and 2021 due to the pandemic, but yesterday’s attendance was a record, confirmed Ríos.

Admission was free to Pipiripi, which was once again filled with hundreds of children accompanied by their parents, who in some cases remembered their childhood playing tunkuña, spinning top or simply jumping rope in the gardens.

For his part, the municipal secretary of culture and tourism, Rodney Miranda, highlighted the massive participation of children in the park.

“This is a very special space for all La Paz, children come to have fun, to learn in this beautiful place. We want this to be one of the first activities of its kind for the enjoyment of our children. I appreciate the response to the call that made possible the success of this activity with the massive participation of families from La Paz”.
