The National Parks Administration (APN), belonging to the Ministry of the Environment, reported this Tuesday that more than 260,000 people visited the national parks of Argentina during the winter holidays.
“The figure demonstrates the interest aroused by the various circuits, the biodiversity and the different natural attractions that are present in these protected natural areas of Argentina,” the Environment portfolio reported in a press release on Tuesday.
The Ministry of the Environment and the APN work to mitigate threats and dangers characteristic of these areas, as well as to protect the physical integrity of those who travel through them or carry out work activities in their area.
In addition, they recalled that the collaboration of the population is essential, so compliance with the established indications is recommended in each place.
It is also worth mentioning the creation of new protected areas during these last two years, among which are the recent creation of the Ansenuza National Park, in Córdoba, and the Islote Lobos National Park, Río Negro; the expansion of the Pre-Delta National Park, in Entre Ríos, and the Aconquija National Park, in Tucumán.
