The National Government, through the Public Force, emergency and health teams
implement security devices to secure, control and monitor areas
commercial, residential, transportation terminals, migratory points, centers
prisons, ports, airports and borders of the country as of February 15, 2023,
in places where carnival activities, carnivals and activities are carried out
of recreation throughout the national territory; in order to minimize the

National Border Service

all terrain), 56 motorcycles, 28 bicycles, 22 boats, 3 ambulances and 2 vehicles

National Migration Service
The National Immigration Service will have 150 inspectors from the Service
Migration Office have been duly coordinated in each of the
immigration control posts, located in different parts of the country.

Dolega, Las Tablas, Chitré, Penonomé and others, where a large number of

Unique Emergency Management System
Likewise, the Unique Pre-Hospital Emergency Management System will be
deploying and reinforcing 564 units and 34 ambulances in coverage areas
during the operations of carnival activities.
The SUME staff that will work in this operation has 388 Technicians in
Medical Emergencies (TUM) or paramedics, 55 call receivers, 35
Emergency Vehicle Operators (OVE), 28 dispatchers, 13
operational supervisors, 8 office supervisors, 13 doctors, 12 members of the
administrative staff (mechanical and general services), 4 coordinators, 4
mentors. All will be directed and coordinated by the Executive Director and the
Director of Operations and Communications.
National Civil Protection System
On the other hand, the National Civil Protection System (Sinaproc) will displace 800
units (paramedics, lifeguards, divers, rescuers, inspectors) during the
Carnival 2023 operation throughout the national territory to reinforce security
and the healthy recreation in the aquatic spaces, culecos and other activities of the
Carnival.
Meritorious Fire Department of the Republic of Panama
The Meritorious Fire Department of the Republic of Panama (BCBRP), as
part of the Joint Task Force (FTC), makes available to the public
a foot of force of 1,257 units per day for prevention and
security that will take place during the Carnival holiday.
This foot of force will be made up of 276 technicians for the operations of
extinction, search, rescue and first aid, 115 volunteers, 25 lifeguards and
12 specialists in aquatic safety and first aid.
In addition, the BCBRP will contribute 151 vehicles to the Operation, including 65
fire fighting trucks, 19 Pick up/Pick Up Tank, 10 rescue trucks, eight
tankers, seven ambulances, six Four Wheels, two launches and two boats
Panama Maritime Authority
The Panama Maritime Authority makes its contribution to this operation, which consists of
