More than 19,000 Edenor and Edesur users are still without power

The organization indicated that “these fines would be added to the total sanctions of 687 million pesos to Edesur and 293 million pesos to Edenor, applied since September.”

Almost 10,000 users of the city of Buenos Aires and the Buenos Aires suburbs were still without electricity this morning, according to the information that the companies providing the service report to the National Electricity Regulation Entity (ENRE).

According to the report published at 7.40 on the official ENRE websitein the Edesur coverage area a total of 5,719 users were without power in their homes in various neighborhoods of Buenos Aires and in the south of the conurbano

For their part, at that time there were 4,174 affected users in the areas where Edenor provides electrical service in various Buenos Aires districts such as San Fernando and Malvinas Argentinas, among others.

This Sunday, the ENRE announced that Edesur and Edenor will be penalized and seized as a consequence of the cuts and the delay in the replacement of the service to more than 570,000 clients during this weekend in the midst of oppressive heat.

In a statement, the agency stated that “these fines would be added to the total sanctions of 687 million pesos to Edesur and 293 million pesos to Edenor, applied since September.”
