More than 170 people were apprehended and 12 firearms seized in ‘Operation Genesis’

Some 175 people were apprehended by the security forces during the last 24 hours in “Operation Genesis 2022” developed in the national territory.

Of these 88 were for trades, 52 for administrative offenses, 20 for flagrante delicto and 15 for micro-trafficking.

During these operations, 42 raids were carried out in various sectors of the country, achieving the seizure of 12 firearms, 95 ammunition, B/. 1,898.00 money seized, 2 vehicles recovered.

About 20 foreign citizens who did not meet the immigration requirements were placed under the orders of the corresponding authorities.

Also as part of this operation, the units of the National Directorate of Traffic Operations placed a total of 1,952 infractions for breaching the traffic regulations, among which 580 for speeding and 37 for proven drunkenness stand out. 2 evacuations.

“Operation Genesis 2022” continues to guarantee healthy coexistence by curbing organized crime and delinquency through the joint work carried out by the security forces.
