A total of 13,412 Bricomiles for the Health sector were deployed this Saturday throughout the national territory, to rehabilitate all health centers, following requests from citizens in the VenApp application, said the Minister for Health, Magaly Gutiérrez.
From the Luis Razzetti Clinic, located in Caricuao, west of Caracas; Minister Gutiérrez stressed that this day strengthens the initial plan of the Bolivarian Revolution, but this time accompanied by the hand of popular power.
“This reminds us of the Bolívar 2000 plan. It reminds us of our beginnings, strengthened by popular power, made up of the health committees, the heads of ASIC, Barrio Nuevo, Barrio Tricolor,” Gutiérrez said in statements broadcast by Venezolana de Televisión.
Each brigade – he explained – will have all its functions defined, to work on the rehabilitation of roofs, floors, painting, even pickaxe and pruning.
Also present at the activity was the Vice President of Science, Technology, Education and Health, Gabriela Jiménez, who carried out the inspection.
For its part, the Single Health Authority, Gilberto Mendoza, stated that in Caracas, more than 700 brigades will be deployed to serve the 733 popular clinics that are in the capital.

For its part, in the El Valle parish, in Caracas, the Bricomiles were deployed, which will be focused, in this first phase, on the care and rehabilitation of the Popular Clinic and the Comprehensive Rehabilitation Room (SRI) of Longaray.
This office provides services to more than 3,500 families in the sector.
Among the works to be carried out, he stressed, that waterproofing, lighting, equipment repair will be prioritized “to work so that the health centers are 100% complete.”
In the activity – where the Defense Minister, Vladimir Padrino López, also participated -, Meléndez pointed out that the brigades are confirmed by the Somos Venezuela Movement, Communes, organized popular power, doctors and militiamen.
In mid-June, President Nicolás Maduro created the Military Community Brigades, oriented to the health and education sector, for the total rehabilitation of the infrastructures of health centers and educational centers, following the requests presented by VenApp.
