A total of 11,767 officials were deployed throughout the country during the national drill against disasters and armed conflicts, carried out in 411 scenarios that included situations such as floods, tsunamis, forest and urban fires, landslides, war attacks, social shock, technological emergencies, burns and fainting. The day allowed to evaluate the response capacity of security, health and rescue bodies to natural and caused events.
The Sectorial Vice President of Politics, Citizen Security and Peace, Diosdado Cabello, offered the official balance. “We have seen in all states receiving instructions, reviewing the cases of risk prevention. There was the Bolivarian National Armed Forces enlisted in this call, today’s final organization, as the main form of natural and provoked disaster attention.”
Cabello stressed the articulation between civil protection, firefighters, police bodies, medical staff and school brigades. “This National Civil Protection simulation was a preparation of the people, with the popular, military and police merger. I recognize all those who participated in training throughout the country. Our people are always aware, here we have to have a coordination so that we have the appropriate response to those events.”
The day included the participation of educational institutions, public companies and the Metro transport system, with emphasis on immediate attention to accidents. “Today all made simulation of protection. The president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, succeeded in this initiative, where we had the opportunity to attend doctors who contributed their grain of sand,” said Cabello.
“The national exercise allowed to validate protocols for action in several states, with special attention in seismic scenarios; we saw how the people show the world that they prepare with conscience to any contingency,” concluded the sector vice president.
