Of the 116,000 people who registered during the registration period to work
In the XII National Population Census and VIII Housing Census, the National Institute of Statistics and Censuses (INEC) announced that they have already pre-selected and notified via email nearly 10,000 applicants.
According to the INEC, in addition to notifying those shortlisted that they registered to participate as enumeration personnel and supervisors of the National Censuses, they also
enabled a virtual platform to reinforce the knowledge of those summoned.
The censuses will be carried out from January 8 to March 4, 2023, and around 7,000 enumerators and 2,000 supervisors will be recruited to cover the 136 census regions of the country.
According to Comptroller Gerardo Solís, this process was carried out by means of an email notification, in which the selected applicants received prior information and access through a link to the virtual classroom, with the purpose of knowing details of this statistical project. The notification was made in compliance with the census roadmap.
For her part, the national sociodemographic deputy director of INEC, Hilda Martínez, said that after receiving the mail, the shortlisted will be called to confirm their availability to participate in the training.
Subsequently, from December 6 to 11, they will be contacted again to confirm availability and offer details of the face-to-face training that will take place from December 12 to 22. During this process, the staff will be instructed on the handling of the census questionnaire and the Mobile Capture Device (DMC).
In order to access face-to-face training, applicants must submit the following documents to the entity: Current personal identity card (original and copy) and diploma (original and copy). In case of not having the diploma, the applicant must bring the official credits.
