A total of 1,437,153 passengers were mobilized by the Tocumen International Airport in the month of August alone. This result adds up to 10,207,119 passengers who used Terminals 1 and 2 of Tocumen in the first 8 months of 2022.

Destinations and markets
Regarding international connections, in the month of August Tocumen increased direct routes to 83 destinations, through 18 commercial airlines that offer services to the main cities of America and Europe.
The August results also indicate that of the total number of passengers who used the Tocumen terminal, 63% were connecting passengers. In addition, 11,822 aircraft movements were managed in August 2022.
According to data provided by the Statistics Department of the Tocumen International Airport, the markets with the best regional performance in August were South America with 47%, followed by North America with 28%, the Caribbean with 11%, while Central America contributed with 10%. , with European markets contributing a 5% share.
Regional terminals and cargo
As for the cargo terminal, 18,917 metric tons of merchandise were mobilized during the eighth month of the year.
For its part, domestic traffic at the regional terminals managed by the Tocumen International Airport recorded 20,331 passengers and 1,815 aircraft operations in August.
