The G/D Héctor Reyes Aguado, commander of the Comprehensive Defense Operational Zone (Zodi) No. 34 Cojedes, reported that through the Bolivarian Shield Operation «Vuelvan Caras 2022», some 20 panelas of suspected marijuana, at two points in the state of Cojedes.
Reyes explained that the first of the findings was made in the Taguanes PAC located in the Tinaquillo municipality, where two citizens were detained from whom the amount of five (05) panela-type packages of an alleged drug called marijuana were seized, with a weight Approximate gross of two kilos seven hundred and forty-eight grams (2,748 gr).
At the time of the arrest, those involved in the incident were traveling in a Chevrolet brand vehicle, model Silverado 4×4, Double Cab Pick-Up Type, blue, plates A40AK1V, where the substance was hidden.
Likewise, in the Apartaderos PAC located in the Anzoátegui municipality, another citizen was arrested, who was traveling in a public transport vehicle, which covered the San Carlos-Acarigua route, from whom fifteen packages made of colored synthetic material were seized. beige, containing presumed marijuana, weighing approximately eight kilos two hundred and ninety-five grams (8,295 gr.).
The Commander of the Zodi highlighted that thanks to the action of the Cojedes Combat Rapid Reaction Unit (URRA) it was possible to carry out the arrest of these citizens who are under the procedures of the law, for being presumably involved in the crime stipulated in the Organic Law Against Illicit Trafficking and the Consumption of Narcotic and Psychotropic Substances, remaining at the order of the Public Ministry.
