More than one million voters in the state of Rio de Janeiro are expected to vote at new addresses in the municipal elections, with the first round scheduled for Sunday, October 6. The changes in location affect approximately 8% of the state’s total electorate, which corresponds to 13 million 33 thousand and 929 voters.
The guidance from the Regional Electoral Court of Rio de Janeiro (TRE-RJ) is that voters should check their polling place in advance on the website. Court or by the app e-Title to avoid disruptions on election day.
On the website, the query can be done by filling in the name, voter registration number or Individual Taxpayer Registry – CPF. It is also necessary to provide the date of birth and the name of the voter’s mother or mother. When searching by e-Titlethe tool automatically identifies the location, simply by clicking on “where to vote”. The application can be downloaded for free to smartphones or tablets, on the platforms iOS or Android.

According to the court, throughout the state there are around 450 locations that have undergone some change in relation to the 2022 election. This number corresponds to 9% of the total of five thousand voting locations distributed among the state’s 92 municipalities.
